You are still welcome to leave comments, PERTAINING TO THIS SITE ONLY! Not the spam comments that have been left and are reported! If they have to be approved, I will look them over first chance I get when computer is setup again.
Force of Evil

The most powerful evil practitioner of magic in the Realm is the arch mage Venger.
For over one thousand years, Venger has gained a foothold over most of the Realm. Great fortresses and castles, armies of Orcs and Lizardmen, Unspeakable prisons and mazes, Venger has stretched his power across the entire world. Only Dungeon Master’s presence has kept him from total control.
Then six young warriors from another world arrived. Given weapons of great power, they seek a way home, and in the meantime, destroy all what Venger has spent a millenia building. Little by little his power over the realm starts to crumble. All the creatures enslaved by Venger are freed, his prisons are demolished, castles destroyed.
Six magical weapons, in the hands of children. his obsession with seizing them is insatiable. For what purpose was never made clear, but it seemed if he can get control of those weapons, he can conquer the Realm for all time.
The Relentess Ranger

Hank was given an enchanted bow and titled Ranger upon his arrival in the Realm. Whether or not the role of leader was granted him by Dungeon Master or the rest of the group is unclear. As leader, he is charged with keeping the gang together and safe while searching for the way home. His greatest fear is failure.
Hank made the decision in the Dragon’s Graveyard to spare Venger, thinking they would be no better than he was if they destroyed him. (I often wonder what would have happened if he had destroyed Venger)
Nothing is known of his life on earth, other than apparently being involved with Sheila, and extremely close to Diana.
Venger seems to have a particular hatred toward Hank after his defeat in the Dragon’s Graveyard. When they were all powerless and trapped in the Underworld, Venger made it a point to take care of the Ranger personally. He also used Hank to get to the cloud bears, using Bobby as a prisoner, causing a rift between the entire group, sending Hank into exile.
Hank speaks the first words of the series. “Keep going”
Hank was voiced by Willie Aames.
The Mediocre Magician

Presto, (named Albert in the bible) was the gang’s magician.
A bungler of magic tricks on earth, he is given a hat that allows him to perform real magic, but its far from an improvement. Most of his spells and/or objects he pulls from the hat usually ends in disaster or completely useless.
Aside from Hank’s bow, Presto has the most powerful weapon of the group, if only he learned how to use it properly. (You’d think DM would have given those kids an instruction book, or something)
Nothing is given about his background except he goes to the same school as Jimmy Whitaker, and probably Bobby too, and is forever trying to impress with card tricks that never work.
It was in the Realm he met his one true love, Varla, who could cast illusions that could fool even Venger, (which did, she summoned an illusion of Tiamat)
He looks up to Hank, as the leader, and is fond of all the group, even Eric, with whom at times make a great comedic duo.
As the series progresses, he seems to gain better control of his hat, and has cast extremely powerful spells on occasion. One of his better feats was removing the stench from the swamp of Darkness. On another episode he vanquishes a giant, Odd thing, though, that spell traveled from his hat through his body and was executed thru his hand. This was the only time that had ever occurred.

The Timid Thief

The worrier of the group, and the older sibling of Bobby, and granted an enchanted cloak that gives her the power of invisibility, Sheila is given the title Thief, but is the only member of the group who is never addressed by that title. Dungeon Master addressed her as Sheila once, and called Diana by name once, and Acrobat at another time, but not one character ever called her thief.
The cloak also has the power to allow her to pass thru certain walls, according to the series bible, but was never mentioned in the series, and apparently allows her to understand creatures such as faeries and unicorns, where the others can’t. She also appears to be untouchable the moment she vanishes, but the bogbeast Kalamung was able to grab her and remove her cloak. It could be that she may have been visible to him with help from his yin and yang amulet.
A popular pairing is Sheila and Venger, though, of course, I prefer Diana. There have been a few times he semed to delight in scaring the hell out of her. Assuming his true form abruptly in Lost children and then putting his finger under her chin in another.
There is nothing ever given in her background, other than being Bobby’s sister, and having a supposed relationship with Hank.
Sheila was voiced by Katie Leigh
The Bratty Barbarian

Aside from Uni, the other most annoying character is the 9 year old brother to Sheila.
Given the title Barbarian, which matches his rambunctious behavior, Bobby is armed with a wooden club, that is almost as big as he is.
The size and strength of his enemies mean nothing to him. His club can bring down mountains, cause quakes, destroy obstacles, or send enemies flying. He is almost always ready for a fight, charging in without a second thought.
There’s hardly anything that scares him, he even goes so far as to challenge Tiamat, not intimidated by her size.
The one thing he does worry about is losing Uni. When she became seriously injured by Venger, he became inconsolable. His hatred for Venger at that moment became so strong that Hank considered it unhealthy for a child his age.
He also became the first of the group to save a life in the Realm, rescuing that annoying bleater, Uni, from becoming Tiamat’s lunch(dammit)
He became a victim of puppy love when a girl his own age was pulled into the Realm for reason unknown, and became very close to her. When she returned to Earth, Bobby became heartbroken, until the Dungeon Master told her of her last dream, and that like the others will come true. Becoming very happy he couldn’t wait to tell the others that they would indeed get home eventually.
He has a friend back home, Jimmy Whitaker, who was pulled into the Realm temporarily by the being called the Night Walker.
He was 8 when he entered the Realm, and celebrated his 9th birthday there. Strange though, because later we learned from Jimmy that it was still Sunday night, only a few hours after they first entered the Realm, but to them it was months. So would he be celebrating his 9th birthday again later?
Bobby was voiced by Teddy Fields III, whose father had helped develop the series. (According to his father in an interview, Teddy jr. is now a dentist)
The Athletic Acrobat

Upon entering the Realm, Diana, the only African American of the group, was given an enchanted Javelin and named Acrobat.
A gymnast, capable of death defying feats, Diana seems to have complete mental control over her weapon. It grows and shrinks on silent command, can be used in various methods, such as a boomerang or deflecting offensive energy blasts.
She is fearless, charging into the fray without hesitation. Gets along with the rest of the gang, even Eric, though more than once shes told him to shut up and needles him when the occasion calls for it.
Diana seems to have a very close relationship with Hank. Though it has been long implied Hank and Sheila are a couple, more often than not, Hank and Diana are there for each other. When Hank gets hurt, she’s the first at his side, she’s been caught from falling by Hank, has leaned up against him and sat closer to him than Sheila has.
She became romatically linked to the starchild, Kosar. When he was blasted by Siruth and dying, Diana sacrificed her chance to get home to save him. Devastated after his departure to his own place among the stars, Dungeon Master informed her she knew him from before, and will know him again. (I’m certain Hank was there to comfort her loss)
Like the others, only a little background is known about her. Her father was an astronomer. She has a brother, who may have an interest in airplanes, has won state gymnastic finals two years straight, and, according to Eric, has a collection of Gold Medals from her gymnastics.
Other than Venger, Diana is my other favorite character. I often do works featuring the two together. Most fans like Venger and Sheila pairings, Im not of that group. Reason I think Venger may favor Diana is that she’s unique among the group. Dark skinned and beautiful. In the 1986 annual, Venger was going to destroy the young ones, but told Diana perhaps he would spare her.
Diana was voiced by Tonia Gayle Smith. (If anyone has any recent info on her, Id be grateful. I cant seem to find anything on her about her life today)
